Apa Kata BlackBerry? BBM Android Dicabut 1 Desember, HOAX kah?

Beberapa hari terakhir beredar kabar bahwa layanan pesan instan BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) di platform Android akan dihentikan mulai 1 Desember mendatang.

Isu ini bermula dari broadcast message yang disebarkan melalui BBM, kemudian melebar ke Twitter dan menjadi perbincangan hangat.

"Bagi pengguna android puas"in bbmman karna tangal 1 desember 2013 applikasi bbm nya akan dihapuskan dan tidak bisa dipergunakan di android. karna black berry sudah memutuskan tidak akan menjual applikasinya di samsung dan sudah mengganti rugi sebesar 2,8T," klaim salah satutweet yang beredar di Twitter.

Tweet dengan topik serupa bisa dengan mudah di temui di Twitter dengan memasukkan kata kunci pencarian "BBM 1 Desember".

Tapi benarkah layanan BBM di Android akan dihentikan? Menurut pihak BlackBerry, ternyata tidak demikian.

"Itu adalah hoax (kabar bohong) yang sengaja disebarkan. Tak ada pengumumannya sama sekali dari kami," ujar PR Manager BlackBerry Indonesia Yolanda Nainggolan, ketika dihubungi olehKompas Tekno, Kamis (21/11/2013) pagi ini.

Menurut Yolanda, pihaknya telah mengetahui adanya isu mengenai layanan BBM di Android yang akan dihentikan. Dia mengimbau pengguna BBM agar tidak memercayai kabar tersebut.

"Ada tweet yang menyertakan tautan ke situs internet agar meyakinkan, tapi isinya tidak berhubungan, belakangan banyak yang seperti itu," tambah Yolanda. 

Ketika ditelusuri oleh Kompas Tekno, tautan yang disertakan di beberapa tweet ternyata memang menuju ke artikel atau thread forum yang tak mengandung informasi relevan atau pernyataan resmi bahwa BBM untuk Android benar-benar akan dihentikan. 

Salah satu artikel yang disertakan dalam berita bohong tersebut adalah berita di KompasTekno berjudul "BlackBerry Batal Dijual, CEO Diganti". 

BBM untuk Android sendiri baru resmi dirilis pada 22 Oktober lalu, setelah sempat tertunda beberapa waktu karena permasalahan teknis. Aplikasi ini segera menjadi salah satu judul terpopuler di toko Google Play Store. BBM untuk iOS yang dilepas dalam waktu hampir bersamaan juga mengalami hal serupa di toko Apple App Store.

Tweet with similar topics can be easily met in Twitter by entering a keyword search for " BBM December 1 " .

But is it true BBM service in Android will be stopped ? According to BlackBerry , it is not.

" It was a hoax ( false report ) are intentionally propagated . Nobody at all of our announcement , " said PR Manager Yolanda Nainggolan BlackBerry Indonesia , when contacted by Kompas Tekno , Thursday ( 11/21/2013 ) this morning .

According to Yolanda , the company has been aware of the issue of the BBM service in Android which will be discontinued . He urged users not to believe fuel the news.

" There is a tweet that includes a link to the website in order to convince , but it is not related , many of them lately , " said Yolanda .

When traced by Kompas Tekno , link included in a tweet was indeed heading to the articles or forum threads that do not contain relevant information or official statement that BBM for Android is really going to be stopped .

One of the articles that are included in the hoax was news in KompasTekno titled " BlackBerry Cancel Sale , CEO Replaced " .


BBM for Android had just officially released on Oct. 22 , after being delayed several times due to technical problems . This application quickly become one of the most popular titles in the store Google Play Store . BBM for iOS released in almost at the same time also experienced the same thing in the store Apple App Store .
