Critics KPK Judge to Give Verdict Lightweight Corruptor

Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission ( KPK ) Abraham Samad deplored the attitude of judges who often give lower sentences for defendants corrupt . According to Abraham , it indicates the judges are not able to capture the community's concerns related to the fight against corruption .

" The judge should have the same common sense to the community , " said Abraham in Jakarta , Friday ( 22/11/2013 ) night .

Abraham went on , the will of the people is that criminals should be punished to the fullest extent . Judge mostly judged not understand this sentence so often does not create justice in the eyes of society .

" So common sense should be read by the judges , " he added .

Therefore , Abraham Angelina Sondakh appreciate verdict handed down by the Supreme Court ( MA ) . According to him , the verdict was in accordance with common sense in society .

" This verdict also create a deterrent effect . So people think 1,000 times for corruption , " said Abraham .

As reported , in addition to aggravate the sentence to 12 years in prison Angie , MA also fined Rp 500 million . In addition, the appeals panel also imposed an additional penalty in the form of payment of compensation amounting to Rp 12.58 billion and 2.35 million U.S. dollars ( about USD 27.4 billion ) . This additional new criminal MA dropped because the court previously , both the Corruption Court and the Jakarta High Court , did not impose criminal compensation .
